Almost Collapsing Balance
(2020 - Ongoing)

The artist channels her experience of making and performing with marionettes into her sculptures to encompass flexible joints and detachable appendages. Mechanical limits between the joints incarnate a critical state of the mind, granting the sculptures a balanced structure and a static momentum.

Trust Fall
2023-2025
Limewood, stainless steel, nylon rope 340x450x120 cm

Trust Fall draws its inspiration from the eponymous game: one person falls backward, relying on others to catch them. This game, once in the artist's childhood memory, has now evolved into a team-building activity in today's society, testing the trust between individuals and the collective through the evocation of fear. This work reconstructs the game scene: an inclined human figure, connected to a steel stage only by its feet, is balanced by a rope pulling at its chest, suspended in the moment of falling. The stage allows viewers to climb up or walk underneath, shifing their perspectives and embodying the different roles within the scene.
